There was a most blissful opening of a 17th session Maha Yajna on Saturday evening September 1 continuing on Sunday morning and evening at the Dayaram Mandir. The temple is most beautifully decorated with flowers and the murthis well dressed. The photos speak for itself. The presiding Pandit is Krishna Misir of Florida. He is most eloquent in his pravachans. And he is an outstanding singer.
The Maha Yajna began September 1 and will conclude on the 9th. Dayaram Mandir is located on 192 Street off Hillside Ave - 88-40 192 St.
The public is invited to this Yajna. There are two sessions morning (9 to noon) and evening (7 to 10). Four very large murthis were consecrated in front of the mandir. There are some twenty murthis inside the mandir.
The Maha Yajna is sponsored by the family of Dayaram and Nalinee. They thank the public for their attendance.
There were several Pandits, Kirtan groups, and bhajan singers; several sang bhajans.
A delicious traditional bhojan was served at the conclusion of the service and after aarti and distribution of Prasad.
Special gift bags comprising jewelry were distributed to attendees on the opening night. Murthis will be presented to attendees on the final evening on September 9.
