Dear Mr. Freddie Kissoon,

I wish to congratulate you for the splendid job you have done in contributing to the electoral defeat of the last Indian-led government in Guyana.

You have been hailed as a hero by the black community in Guyana. They look up to you as a black freedom fighter against Indians. I wish you the best for fighting for their cause.

Can we now expect you to be vigilant about corruption as you did under the last Jagdeo-PPP government?

I am ardent reader of your articles in the Kaieteur News of Guyana. I archive most of them. Do not ask me why.

You always keep me abreast of sensationalism and negativism on anything Indian in Guyana.

Freddie, single-handedly you have made the Kaieteur News one of most detested newspaper among Indians in Guyana and the Diaspora. Most of them do not buy it or advertise in it.

You have been consistently attacking one of the living heroes of Guyana who is Swami Aksharananda. Swami is the founder and principal of an outstanding private Hindu college in Cornelia Ida, WCD. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnRsiJ54-ss

Why the vendetta against this outstanding academic who is contributing to our beloved Guyana? Swami is educating the leaders of tomorrow. As a journalist, you should know the value of education.

My brother, please use your time for constructive criticism and not for malicious attacks. Believe me, in the long run you would be helping yourself. What goes around comes around.

This world is a wonderful place. Nothing in nature lives for itself. Rivers do not drink their own water. Trees do not eat their own fruit. My brother, therein lies the secret of happy living. God never forgets anyone who sows a good seed among people.

Mr. Kissoon, I know you have been a tutor from the University of Guyana (UG). You can now apply to return. Principal Professor Dr. Ivelaw Lloyd Griffith will welcome you for successfully campaigning for the present Government. He was appointed by this PNC Granger administration. I am sure he will welcome you with open arms. That new job from Ivelaw Lloyd Griffith at UG will help you. Never mind people will still see you as a “Jumping Jack.” You should write about how UG was established by the Father of the Nation, Dr Cheddie Jagan. His detractors mockingly referred to it as “Jagan’s Night School.”

Your writings are obscure, my friend. Can you please keep it simple? You are no longer a tutor at UG. You have to recognise you are a reporter for a sinking newspaper.

As a senior citizen, you should try to become an example for the youths to live in love, respect, peace and harmony at all times.

Please be proud of your heritage. It is the heritage that a man inherits makes him successful and prosperous. Do not be in psychological warfare with yourself. Leave a legacy for which your wife and children can be proud.

Mr. Kissoon, please stop your character assassination articles. They are creating more hatred and bitterness in the society.

Your friend,

Jai Sears
