15,000 throng Divali Nagar for Epic Hanuman Chalisa Chanting in Trinidad

Port-of-Spain: The chanting of the Lord Hanuman Chalisa fosters a sense of community and belonging, according to Indian High Commissioner, Dr. Pradeep Singh Rajpurohit. He told 15,000 devotees at the Epic Hanuman Chalisa Chanting on Saturday April 27, 2024 at Divali Nagar, Chaguanas, Central Trinidad.

“As we come together in prayer and devotion, we forge bonds of love and companionship that transcend individual differences. In a world where isolation and alienation prevalent, this sense of belonging as invaluable, offering support and encouragement on our spiritual journey,” he said.

Dr Rajpurohit noted that the chanting is not merely a ritual, but a profound spiritual practice that enriches our lives and connects as to something greater than ourselves.

In the midst of our fast-paced lives, characterized by constant distraction and pressures of different kinds, he pointed out. “In the modern world, where stress and anxiety have become an integral part of one’s life, chanting of Lord Hanuman Chalisa, the chanting/rhythmic recitation of the Lord Hanuman Chalisa provide us peace and spiritual rejuvenation, as it offers solace and tranquillity. It acts as a powerful meditation, calming the mind and soothing the soul.”

Dr Rajpurohit termed Lord Hanuman as a mediator in conflicts as throughout his adventures, he acted as a mediator in resolving conflicts among allies or in diffusing tense situations. “His calm demeanour, wisdom and ability to understand the perspectives of all parties involved allowed him to effectively navigate complex interpersonal dynamics and promote harmony within the group.

He also referred to the fact that Lord Hanuman undertook several diplomatic missions on behalf of Lord Rama, including reconnaissance, negotiation and delivering messages to allies and adversaries alike. “His ability to gathering information, discreetly, communicate effectively and represent Lord Rama’s interests with diplomacy and tact proved invaluable in the unfolding of the epic narrative.

Dr Rajpurohit pointed out that Lord Hanuman’s diplomatic strength lies not only in his physical prowess and unwavering devotion to Lord Rama but, also in his ability to negotiate, mediate and build alliances with wisdom, tact, righteousness and foresight. “His diplomatic endeavours throughout the journey of Lord Rama in the epic Ramayana serve as timeless examples of effective leadership and diplomacy in action”.
