A Butcher Meets a Vegetarian

Irony piles atop irony as Putin and Modi hug each other in bosom buddy embrace – one now a notorious butcher committing genocide as if death of the Ukrainians is the latest fad in geo-politics and as if on the other hand being a vegetarian is a fad that is not underpinned by Gandhian principles of ahimsa, non-violence.

Putin is committing genocide against Ukraine, killing and displacing millions of persons as if Ukraine is his personal abattoir and killing field, and while he must reek of death and destruction, vegetarian Modi hugs him so that he could get a good whiff of what blood and death smell like. How Putin’s deodorant must be downloaded from the blood of orphans he massacred and calls it “Infanticide” for 24 hours long-lasting odor of the death fragrance; and how Modi in his desire to be an au courant communist snuggles up to Putin and dives into his armpit to get a better scent of this “Infanticide” he hears Putin is wearing for sycophants who wear their own deodorant call “hypocrites” for eternal disgrace.

Tagore was the First Indian to be knighted in 1915 and so became Sir Rabindranath Tagore but because of the British massacre known as the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre of 1919, Tagore rejected the knighthood on the grounds of the massacre and told England to push that knighthood right up where it belongs.

While those who support Tagore for his noble act, praise him it on the grounds that he sacrificed for his Indian people, Modi in their eyes will have to be be sanitized with eye-drop for not doing the same against Russia which is on a genocide mission in Ukraine. India is supposed to be the land of Gandhian peace and love and the turning of the other cheek, but while most Indians on the ground are damning Putin calling him a butcher, the Indian leadership has deodorized him and is hugging him. This is a classic example of where Leaders mislead and why we the people should never hand over to them our capacity to think for ourselves, to do and say the right thing when we know they are messing with our lives, when we know they are pursuing their own selfish agendas for don’t we correct and chastise our own children, spouses and best friends and families when they stray from the right path, but stupidly treat like gods our leaders who are oftentimes the incarnation of evil? We got to fix this sycophantic deification we have for erring leaders, you hear.
