Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India is making all the strategic moves to make India strong and resilient. Only this week his government launched a program to “alleviate malnutrition through bio fortification food crops.”

This program is a challenge to a report that identified 38 percent of Indian children as stunting and 58 percent as being anemic. The government rightly agreed that “hidden hunger or malnutrition hinders the growth of the nation.” Prime Minister noted that “hidden hunger or malnutrition hinders the growth of the nation.”

The aim is to create a protein packed rice and zinc fortified lentil. The program will be coordinated by senior officials of a dozen ministries from central government. It was noted that for the first time that so many ministries have come together to tackle a national problem.

Children are a nation’s future. When they are well-nourished and fed they would have the courage to stand up against kidnappers and other criminal elements. Among them are the nation’s future writers, politicians, soldiers, farmers, merchants, engineers, doctors, artists, sportsmen and women, actors, and personnel from every walk of life. By identifying with the struggles of the children for proper nutrition, Modi is defeating the demonic Hirankashipu that has been destroying the bright future of our children. Such a program represents a release of Bhagawan Narasingh’s energy to cleanse the nation of complacency and self-doubt to meet head-on its challenges.
