Busy Week of Hindu Religious Programs in New York City

Hindus in New York City had a bevy of religious programs over the last week at mandirs all over the city. At Shiva Temple (SDMS) on 110th Street off, Northern Blvd, Surinamese pandit Sukul presided over service last Sunday morning.

At Tulsi Mandir on 111th Street, Off Liberty Ave., Pandit Kesh held discourse on the Ramayana for a week. At the courtyard of Shri Surya Narayan Mandir on 172nd Street off Jamaica Ave, there was a Hindu youth concert last Saturday evening. And from Sunday evening, there has been Ramayana in the Park at that venue with nightly discourse with a different pandit presiding. The Ramayana in the park is held under the auspices of the Federation of Hindu mandirs in collaboration with the USA Pandits Parishad.

So far, Pt. Deo Sharma, Pt. Yogeshwar Narine, Pt. Suraj Hardowar Pandey, Acahrya Mahendra Doobay from Sunday thru Wednesday night.
