Dimple Willabus, a Guyanese, is seeking support for her candidacy for a nomination to contest for a seat in Brooklyn. She is deserving of support.Tuesday June 22 is Primary Day in New York. Guyanese and other Caribbean Americans, all voters, are urged to go out and vote. Ms. Dimple Willabus, a Guyanese mother residing in Brooklyn, has been canvassing for votes as she seeks the Democratic nomination for a seat to the City Council (District 46) from Brooklyn. She is appealing for the public’s support for first choice.Her campaign centers around some worthy issues. Among them:
- A Safe Community, where everyone is treated with respect.
- Quality educational opportunities
- A community where there is equitable access to:
- High-quality youth and senior services
- Affordable housing
- Excellent health care
- Healthy and accessible food options
She promises to be a great, inclusive leader and to be “a servant of the people and not just the political elites or ‘connected’.”
Voters have the option to rank choices up to five candidates on the ballot. Dimple Willabus requests first choice. But if she is not the first choice, second rank choice is also appreciated.
