The phrase from the GITA – Ekam Sat Vipraha Bahudha Vadanti- meaning ‘The Truth [GOD] is one, the wise call it by various names’ is misunderstood, especially by Hindus, but employed as Taqiyya (lying to get one’s way) concept in Islam and considered a nice phrase for proselytizing gullible Hindus away from their Vedic dharma by pretending that Christianity and Islam are inclusive.
Many of our Haagen Dazs Ice Cream [too sweet] Pundits / Vedic intellects in the Caribbean or even from India like the pro-Hindu author Amish Tripathy who when invited to all these pro-Hindu conferences uses this concept to show “we are all one people’– a type of nonsense that is only misleading to Hindus. This is done to put the Abrahamic religions on the same level with Hinduism but it is considered blasphemous to Christians and Muslims. These pundits and speakers should be ashamed to lead their own people astray knowing very well they are setting up Hindus for conversion.
A Dharmic path is one that seeks the Truth’ as opposed to the Abrahamic religions which believe UNQUESTIONINGLY in Christ as their Savior and Prophet Mohammed as the messenger and Allah as the one true God.
A Hindu cannot practice Vedic ways and practice Christianity / Islam simultaneously; it is just wrong and considered blasphemous by Islam. It makes no logical sense at all. Only a Hinds who does not sit and question the intolerance Hindus face from Abrahamic religions would indulge in such foolish thoughts.
Once a Hindu adopts Christianity / Islam that Hindu ceases to be a seeker of truth and therefore will NOT be able to question what is taught. In Christianity and Islam one cannot question God’ Will, but in Hinduism Vedic people can question God’s Will as in the case in the long discussion between Krishna and Arjuna. Hinduism has NO founder, no Prophet and seeks the Eternal Laws of Righteousness as recorded by the Rishis.
In Christianity and Islam there is an eternal HELL and Hell is only for the non–Abrahamic believers. The Muslims and Christians in spite of their intolerance, persecution and genocide of practitioners of other religions, will always have a place in heaven for accepting Christ / Prophet – Allah ss their Lord and Saviour.
Hindus believe in the re-birth [ samsara] depending on one’s action or karma. Hindus believe in attaining Moksha [free from re-birth] which is attained by reaching ‘Spiritual Truth’ [GOD] through ones’ own spiritual practices or Yoga.
Religion aims to bring the different tribes together to have ethnic identity. Nevertheless, within Hindu dharma there are various pathways or yogas to unite us with our spiritual identity. However, to say all pathways lead to God -EKAM SAT VIPRAHA BAHUDHA VADANTI-
is to trust the foxes to guard the chicken coop.
