Dear Editor,
Many political pundits, comic strip writers, religious seers, cyclists, road runners, horse racing punters weather forecasters, and even whe whe players have been trying to analyze and predict the future of the UNC under the leadership of Kamla Persad Bissessar.
Mathematicians and Scientists from universities have tried to formulate various models to try and explain why a political leader who has lost multiple elections, lost most of the party’s talented members, and even lost mass membership, continues to hold sway over the party.
Many are baffled as to why so-called intelligent people are prepared to forsake their political future, and even their own integrity to support a leader who has defied all moral and spiritual codes expected of a strong political entity. Many are worried that a leader who has destroyed any semblance of structure and discipline and instead selected persons of dubious character to be flagbearers of their party, continue to employ autocratic tendencies, and remain unchallenged as leader.
When all celestial reasoning fails to provide any logic to explain this phenomenon, citizens are left with no choice but to believe that it is the effect of the solar eclipse. Perhaps the total blocking of the rising sun has numbed the intellect of UNC supports when confusion reigns, when the difference between right and wrong is blurred when you cannot distinguish between male and female, and when mediocrity reigns supreme over meritocracy.
It must be the effects of the solar eclipse!
