Family and Friends Mourn the passing of Indra Chattergoon

Wayne Lalchan, former President of the Hindu Seva Sangh and President of the Bamboo No1 Mandir, Pandit Kumar Boodram and Dool Hanomansingh, members of the Hindu Seva Sangh joined with the family of the late Indra Chattergoon (1948-2023) in mourning her passing.

Two of her children, Devindra and Luxcmi, share a long association with the Hindu Seva Sangh and its many activities. Their father Mungal Chattergoon was a founder member of the Jawan Sangh and the Hindu Seva Sangh before his sudden passing more fifteen years ago.

Indra Chatttergoon, a former teacher at San Fernando Secondary School, was credited with Pandit Ashram Maharaj and Kamla Tewarie for pioneering the Secondary School Sanskritic Sangam.

Indra Chattergoon was cremated at the Shore of Peace, La Romain on Monday November 27, 2023. She has left to mourn her four children, grandchildren, cousins, siblings, relatives, and friends.

The Hindu Seva Sangh salutes Indra Chattergoon for walking the path of dharma and laying the foundation in our secondary school for Sanskriti to flourish.
