Dear Editor,

In another desperate attempt to remain relevant to the membership of the UNC, Kamla Persad Bissessar has announced the party is now in an election footings and has invited nominations for the General Elections.

Kamla must be aware that party members are aware of all the tricks up her sleeve in order to keep her parliamentarians subservient. She continues to use the element of fear that any signs of dissent may result in them not being selected as a candidate.

Kamla is also aware she did not address the concerns of some of her MPs who complained that their nominations for aldermen were completely ignored and the choices of the gender benders in the party were given preferential treatment.

Kamla must also be aware that having statements such as ‘significant electoral victory ‘and having the Youth League endorse her leadership does in no way improve her already dismal national profile.

Kamla must also be aware that having a new communications team will do little to improve her image and having them write letters to attack Kamla Haters are only acts designed to perpetuate her failed leadership. Kamla must also be aware that by trying to monitor all her constituency offices to report dissent against her is designed to fail as at some moment some members will show testicular fortitude and tell her where to get off.

Finally, Kamla must be aware that attending the wake of a prominent Indian singer and posting her attendance on Facebook had more condolence messages for the bereaved family than her expected praise of her.

The game is over Kamla!

Yours Truly,
Margaret Singh.
Palmiste.
