GULF STATES OIL AND GUYANA.

Dear Editor,

Guyana with its huge abundance of oil and more and more discoveries can be like the Persian Gulf States Countries.

Most GULF STATES Countries like Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar have a very small population less than 3 million but depend on mostly Immigrants to do their work from maids, to building infrastructures. as roads, skyscrappers and bridges. The Citizens of these Gulf States Countries will handle the security of their Countries, manage their oil revenues and sit back and enjoy living a good life.

The Immigrants are allowed to work but cannot own land, properties or become Citizens. By not allowing Immigrants becoming Citizens the threat of getting displaced by foreigners is avoided.

The Government of Guyana and its Citizens can enjoy the best of life with its oil revenues just by copying the Gulf States. Guyanese do not have to be top oil engineers or infrastructures engineers, these engineers, maids can be imported for a dime a dozen. Guyanese just have to be top of the line excellent mangers of their revenues.

Guyana and its Citizens can only become like the Gulfs States only if the main parties can have the meeting of the Minds and sit back and all its Citizens can enjoy the best of life and let the Immigrants do their work. I understand the Gulfs States is made up of one ethnic group and their government cannot be challenged. Unless Guyanese leaders are truly willing to have a meeting of the Minds to find a solution of decentralization then their oil revenues would mean nothing and ipso facto the Country will remain in a state of dissention.

Guyanese only have two options, A – Decentralize [ Federal System] or Partition
the Country.

Guyanese what is wrong to be like the Gulfs States? Let me get your comments.
