I write to thank The Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS) International for its kindness to donate two forty feet containers of anti-Covid supplies to the Ministry of Health of Guyana to share with the public as the country battles the raging Covid.
The HSS organization’s work, along with that of its local partner, Sewa Guyana, is extraordinary and inspiring and a model to emulate in helping poor of all faiths and backgrounds globally. Both have responded generously to help Guyana during this ongoing Covid crisis that began in March 2020 claiming some 700 lives in Guyana and several millions globally. HSS has donated a huge quantity of PPE materials used in the fight against Covid. An oxygen generating plant is expected to be arrive soon that will be outfitted to produce medical oxygen – an act of generosity from Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh.
The HSS has been on the forefront of helping people in several countries during these difficult times. These charitable nonprofit organization provides medical materials to help affected people and struggling countries navigate the virus to reduce victims. Sewa (Hindu term that means to serve) Guyana, the local body that works closely with HSS International will help the Ministry of Health in the distribution process of the PPE and other hygiene items.
Guyanese need these anti Covid materials as demand has risen especially during this dangerous period when the delta variant is wreaking havoc on the population. This generosity of HSS and volunteerism of Sewa Guyana would provide much-needed relief to Guyanese on the frontlines of combating Corona 19 and helping people in communities across this country as they confront the pandemic. Many people lost their jobs over the last eighteen months, unable to purchase basic materials for protection against the pandemic. The handouts come in handy especially when Covid victims have been in the rise.
I’ll like to thank HSS and Sewa Guyana for the outstanding work they have been doing to help communities to battle Covid.
