The anniversary of the first set of Indians who arrived in the Caribbean, known as Indian Arrival, was observed in Guyana on May 5. Arrival celebrations were held all over Guyana and in the Indian Guyanese diaspora on varied dates. In Central Florida, Hari Singh and others organized celebrations to commemorate Indian Arrival and Heritage Day last Sunday.
