Indian Think Tank leaders must stop being failures in the competitive world of politics especially in the countries of Trinidad – Guyana – Suriname (TGS). Our think tanks top brass is stocked only in the coolie historical narrative of East Indian landing in the Caribbean with no contemporary concept to uplift Indians to make them a Political Power Race.
Most Indian intellectuals write only on unfolding events ie how Indians are marginalized and discriminated in Trinidad,Guyana,Suriname [ TGS ].
Indians have failed to combat Black / African hegemony in the Caribbean with their own Political Theory or Doctrine. Caribbean Blacks are always coming up with different political concepts and by copying Black American creating political movements to suit their current political situations.
Blacks in Guyana,Surinam and Trinidad (TGS) together with Black Americans have past and present political concepts such as Negritude and Black Lives Matter [ BLM ] to their advantage and race theory, and the 1619 Project by Nikole Hannah Jones . All these black concepts is to tell ‘BLACK TRUTH ‘ and to advance black people politically.
Our Indian Think Tank is still stuck with one historical narrative, that is the history of Indentureship, but fail to legitimize our suffering as Coolie labourers. Indians too have ownership of Trinidad, Guyana and Suriname [ TGS ] .
Why is it that Indian writers fail to have their own Critical Race Theory to speak their ‘ truth ‘? Blacks in TGS do not accept Indians as part of rightful owners of TGS and therefore, cannot be equal legitimate share holders of the Caribbean. What are our Indians so afraid of that our writers and think tank is only comfortable writing Biography, and some news events but instead fail to meet the challenges of Black affirmative concepts that Indians are transients in TGS as a temporary Residence. Its time TGS Indians educate their race that ‘ Discovery Land’ ie Columbus discovered the New World is theirs too and advance their race with Political Power by some form of delimitation that Indians too can have control of their political and cultural destiny. What is wrong in Indians in TGS – having their own Zionism, Hindutva, Chuulha Doctrine. So far we have Hindology,Coolitude (See ICDN) and Indian Exceptionalism which needs to be debated.
