Indian debaters on race politics in the Caribbean-especially Guyana / Trinidad-must be weary of African Caribbean intellectual drawing them into a “balance view” of political ethnic blame game designed to put Indians into a precipice which will make it difficult for them to climb out.

In the Doctrine of No Guilty Race written by Mr. Eusi Kawyana and defended by Dr. David Hinds Africans and Indians are equally wrong or right in the past and present in the mayhem of race politics in Guyana.

At the March 2nd 2020 elections in Guyana all observers of different ethnic persuasions and from different countries made it perfectly and abundantly clear the African PNC / APNU government rigged the elections but African leaders are putting their own spin and blaming the PPP leaders. Similarly, Dr. Hinds and Mr. Kaywana are playing the blame game that both Africans and Indians are the cause for racial riots, violent disorder and rigged elections.

In advancing Dr. Hinds / Kwayana’s logic while it had bad Africans beating Indians, raping them and burning their houses down, it had at the same time African doctors placing band aid on Indian wounds.   By their logic therefore, African Americans should not complain about racism in America because White doctors and nurses attended to blacks who were wounded.

In Trinidad / Guyana / Surinam each race has the right to dislike or like each other or to respect each other’s differences. However, the ultimate wrong can only be which ethnic group acts on their hate crime to kill the other. When it comes to ethnic violence- especially in Guyana- that hate trophy must be given to African leaders and all that which trickles down to their race base.

I am not falling for this shared blame game, nor do I want shared government. Guyana has to partition according to Mr. Kwayana’s suggestion in 1961. I guess under NAZI it had good Germans and bad Germans that is why 6 million Jewish people perished.
