Jagdeo to address World Development Summit in Delhi

Guyana Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo will address the World Sustainable Development Summit (WSDS) 2023 from 22 to 24 February 2023 at the India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. The VP has been in India to attend the conference and to tie up some agreements with the Indian government on Guyana’s budding energy sector and agriculture.
This is the 22nd edition of the annual flagship event of The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) convened on the theme of ‘Mainstreaming Sustainable Development and Climate Resilience for Collective Action’. It engages heads of States, leading representatives from international organisations, business and industry to deliberate on equitable responses to enhance planetary resilience.

A release from the organizers states that in the backdrop of the G20 Presidency and the Global Stocktake process at COP28, the multiple plenary sessions and thematic tracks will discuss ambition and action in this crucial decade for sustainable development and climate action.
