The “Black Life Matters” and Black problems in America is NOT the same as the Black / African scenario in Trinidad. The Whites, Blacks, Browns and Yellows in America will sort their problems out more than in any other democracy. My question to Caribbean Africans in Trinidad / Guyana is as soon as Africans land in a ‘White Man Country’ suddenly African Caribbean knows what is right, free speech and democracy.
In Trinidad and Guyana, Africans are a privileged race because they control the means of POWER and can do and say whatever racist comments against other ethnic people especially Indians because Free Speech only applied to Africans. In Trinidad recently when Mr. Michael Aboud commented that the African had a natural proclivity to violence and looting in America, it had a ripple effect on African Trinidadian causing strong protest via social media and other talk shows.
Why is it O.K. for African Trinidadian to have a global loyalty of African Brotherhood but NOT Indians, Arabs, Chinese, Whites? The PRIVILEGE African Man in Trinidad has the audacity to protests in front the U.S. Embassy in Trinidad with his picket ‘ Black life matters’ and “When will an Indian man be willing to take a Blackman / Woman in his house as a family member?”. Is this what African American fighting for that in every White family it must have spots of black? (Mighty Sparrow’s “I never eat a white meat yet.)
Is it wrong for Indians to maintain the purity of their race and culture without disrupting other people’s way of life. The special privilege that Africans in the Caribbean have to oppress and ridicule others and deny them their rights, free speech and assembly only happening because the others and Indians remain silent for too long.
