Dave Thakoordeen and his wife Sheila hosted a Shiva Purana katha at their home on Glassboro Ave in South Jamaica, Queens, New York. Pix were from Friday and Saturday evening August 25 and 26 respectively. They had a desire to perform a Shiv Puran or katha. It was fulfilled. Pandit Rishi Ram officiated over the proceedings. He delivered the nightly discourse from August 21 to 26. The katha concludes Sunday morning August 27.
Dave and Sheila expressed gratitude to everyone who assisted the family in the preparation of their home — transforming it into a mandir— and preparing the bhojan and prasad.
