A Pitri puja was dedicated to the memory of the late Ganesh Persaud. He is the founder and Priest of Temple St Non-Pariel of West Demerara, Guyana. Pitri Puja 2023 commemoration ended on Oct 14. Navratri begins on the 15th.
The Pitri puja was presided over by Pandit Ganesh Persaud, no relationship.
Since the Mandir was built, nothing was ever done after the pandit passed away. The Pitri puja is also for all the persons who made contributions to the mandir and have passed on. The community loves the Shraad initiative sponsored by Mr. Ramdeen of New York. He hopes to make it an annual event.
