New York State Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar was on Sunday, September 24 honored with the Gandhi Peace Prize 2023 by the Federation of Hindu Mandirs for promoting peace and understanding among Americans. There was a procession on Liberty Avenue that was cut short because of downpours. The procession culminated at Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir on 128 Street where the large gathering was addressed by several speakers including Mayor Eric Adams and other city officials.
