LIKE A RUDDERLESS SHIP STRANDED IN THE TORRENTIAL OCEAN OF MISERY

THE ANGUISHED HEART SAYS, NO MORE

LIFE’S JOYS AND HAPPINESS HAVE FADED WITH TOTAL ABANDONMENT

THE WILL TO LIVE IS REPLACED BY DEATH DARK SHADOWS

LONGING FOR RELEASE FROM THIS UNBEARABLE TORMENT
THE ANGUISHED HEART SAYS, NO MORE

THE FEELING OF ALONENESS, BETRAYAL, AND DESPAIR IS TOO MUCH TO BEAR

ALL CRIES FOR HELP FROM THIS WRETCHEDNESS, GOES UNHEARD

THE SUNSHINE AND RAINBOW OF HOPE SEEMS LIKE A FADED ILLUSION

IN THE VOID OF A SELFISH WORLD, THE ANGUISHED HEART SAYS… NO MORE

NOW! THE FATEFUL HOUR HAS COME TO BID FAREWELL, WITH DEEP SADNESS

THE STING OF DEATH BECKONS TO REST A DESOLATE AND WEARY SOUL

TO ETERNITY OPEN ARMS, WITHOUT JUDGEMENTS AND CONDEMNATIONS

SEEKING PEACE AND REDEMPTION FROM THE BONDAGE OF AN INSUFFERABLE FATE

It is a preposterous conjecture to think, attribute, and associate the abnormal suicide rate in the Guyanese Hindu community to Hindu culture and dharma.

If anything, suicide happens when people lose hope and the ‘true’ meaning of life, arising more out of the prevailing social conditions, health issues, and their seemingly unresolvable aggrieved personal situations that cause them to want to escape their insufferable mental pain and faith.

In fact, I wrote a poem on this. Now, I am not a psychiatrist or expert on suicide. Just my thoughts on this complex subject. of suicide!
