A peace march was held in honor of the apostle of peace on Sunday September 25 on Liberty Ave Ave. The parade route was shortened from 114 Street because of rain. It started at 125 Street and Liberty Ave and culminated at 128 Street at the Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir. Gandhi ji was born on Oct 2, 1869. The parade was held early in NY in September over the last three decades. His birthday is a national holiday in India.
