Popular and successful businessman Nazar (Shell) Mohamed has decided to try his hand at local politics having run successful businesses. He enters electoral fray as a PPP/C candidate for the Eccles/Ramsburg seat on the East Bank, a middle class constituency in the June 12 LGE. The neighborhood is a stronghold of the PPP/C that governs at the center. The party won the seat in every local election going back to the first free and fair elections held in 1994.
