President Ram Nath Kovind is due to arrive in St. Vincent on Wednesday for a state visit. The President will leave on May 21. This is the first ever visit by an Indian head of state to the multi-islands nation.
SVG and India are very close friends with the small nation supporting India’s position at international forums, such as the UN. The President is visiting at the invitation of the PM of SVG.
During his stay, the President will hold discussion with his counterpart, the head of state, Governor General Susan Dougan and the Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves and other political figures.
President Kovind will visit the Botanical Gardens and travel around the island. He will address the national parliament.
