I was truly blessed and honored to attend the Spring Navaratri celebrations 2026 and participate in the Ram Navami puja at the Sanatan Dharma Maha Sabha W.I. Inc. – Shiva Mandir in New York.
This sacred space has long served as a spiritual and cultural home for Trinidadian and Tobagonian Hindus in the diaspora, preserving and nurturing our traditions since its opening in 1987.
It also holds a proud legacy, having welcomed leaders such as PM Kamla Persad-Bissessar during her first term in office in 2010, and former PM Basdeo Panday, reflecting its significance as a symbol of cultural pride, faith, and unity.
I am grateful for the opportunity to share in these uplifting celebrations filled with devotion, peace, and a strong sense of community spirit.
