Ramdath Jagassar was a true patriot of Trinidad his dharmic culture and race. He was an intellectual combative solider who wrote many articles on systemic racism against Indians in Trinidad.
Ram Ji fought against many problems even within his own tribe but was able to initiate and jump over the many hurdles together with other dharmic soldiers to make the government of Trinidad declare Indian Arrival Day a public holiday. Indian Arrival Day proliferated from Trinidad throughout the Caribbean and North America.
Indian Arrival Day is to tell the Indian story and our Indentured narrative of our suffering and pain which we survived as a race with our dharmic culture to reach educational and political heights to be reckoned with.
Bhai Ram Jagassar left a legacy and imprint on the history of Trinidad that cannot be erased and will roll over in the minds of generations to come.
Bhai Ram and I were combating intellectually jointly with our writing on the issues of guns hours before his passing. Ram ji was not afraid to write about the Indian equation of systemic racism and crimes Indians have to face and endure on a daily basis.
May Bhai Ram Ji be lifted straight to BHUVA LOKA and have the pleasure to reside with the King of Devas until his next mission.
