Below is a pic of the newly renovated/painted Mandir of the Port Mourant Arya Samaj located close to the hospital on the main road in Ankerville. close to Train Line, adjoining Miss Phoebe.
I sincerely commend our daughter, Pandita Nalo, dharam patni of Pandit Ravi Singh, and mother of Arya Virs Sandesh and Ritesh. She walked around her village and collected donations from many people to fund and complete this challenging task. It was not easy for her. Ably aided by her husband and two children, she is the sole functioning Arya Samaj Pandita in the upper corentyne area, delivering Havan and Sanskaar services.
The Port Mourant Mabdir was left virtually unattended for years. Nalo and Ravi kept the torch kindled during this unfortunate time. Now with a building blessed with a new, bright and attractive image, the two of them, it is hoped, will take the Samaj forward.
