Chan Ramgarib, wife of Parray, passed away in New York. A remembrance service for her was held at the Shiva Mandir, SDMS, in Elmhurst, Queens on Wednesday evening. Chan had a regular presence at the mandir going back to the 1980s. She served the mandir with dedication and commitment. She was very popular with members and worshippers. Devotional songs were sung and speakers paid tribute to her in a near three hours long program. There were fond reminiscences about encounters with Chan.
The Ramgarib family expressed gratitude and appreciation for the tribute.
