Swami Maheshveranand ji presided over a weeklong Shiv Purana Yagya at the Shyama Shyam Dham Mandir on 120 Street, off Liberty Ave., Little Trinidad, Richmond Hill, Queens, New York. The mandir is in the heart of the Indo-Caribbean community in Richmond Hill also known as Little Guyana and Little Trinidad. Swami Ji is from Trinidad. He was trained in India. The yagyna has been held nightly from March 3 through 8. Shivratri is observed on March 8.
