Trinidad and Tobago’s Rowley’s shows a total lack of diplomacy in comments about Guyana — NTA

Dr. Keith Rowley

Classless, disrespectful and unfit to lead a country. This is how the NTA and many other citizens are seeing the comments made by Prime Minister Keith Rowley about Guyana which the Guyanese Vice President was forced to respond to.

Fielding a question by a reporter where she asked about the high vote numbers for the NTA, the PM embarrassed himself with his comment about the Guyanese currency.

Typical of this Keith Rowley led government to embroil Trinidad and Tobago in regional confusion, it is in line with the fiasco of the abduction of a Trinidad and Tobago national from Barbados, which may cost Barbados taxpayers tens of millions of dollars to settle.

As one who continuously thumps his chest about decades of poltical experience, Rowley should be one of Caricom’s biggest ambassadors, not one of its biggest embarrassments.

Not just a potent example of Rowley’s distasteful actions, it is also a shining example of just how infected other members of the hierarchy of the PNM are, as all stood around him laughing at his distasteful comment which lacks all aspects of diplomacy.

Schooled by Guyanese Vice President Jagdeo in a follow up post on economics and the value of money, purchasing power etc., we at the NTA would like to apologise to the people of Guyana for our Prime Minister and assure them, as well as the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago, that Rowley’s reign of terror will soon be over as general elections are looming.
