Why does Trinidad ‘RICH’ people have no legacy after passing away even though they have built many shopping malls, developed residential neighborhoods, cinema halls, gigantic groceries and hardware stores, etc?

The only Hindu I can recall who was ‘RICH’ and had left a legacy was Bhadase Sagan Maraj. He was the founder of the Maha Sabha which pioneered education among Hindus, who, for generations, had limited to no exposure to education. Additionally, the Maha Sabha promotes and propagates dharma, a culture of peace, love and inclusiveness.

The ASJA institutions are another legacy which will live on in the many schools they built for generations of children. Abu Bakr legacy will survive for changing the way a percentage of African Trinidadian think and by providing them with an Islamic education and an identity.

Mr. Grant who instituted the Presbyterian schools that educated lots of Indians academically but fell short on teaching Indians their VEDIC culture will still have a legacy.

‘Rich’ people in Trinidad have to do more than giving awards, some donuts /coffee or even roti. Many ‘Rich ‘ died and are not even remembered by their families. It’s time for the ‘Rich ‘ to do more and create their own legacies.
