Despite its grueling impact on civilization as a whole, Covid 19 has been able to bring about renewed family life and knit societies, according to former Councilor for Caparo Paras Ramoutar.

He told the religious service at the Mt. Kailash Mandir at Santa Phillipa Road, Caparo on New Year’s Day morning that Covid 19 has awaken the eyes of all mankind “to continue the fight to rid this demon in society, despite it has brought back family and communal life for the moment.”

“The world society needs to become fully aware that the fight requires spirituality and psychological strength to fully overcome it. Trinidad and Tobago is no exception in this great battle with Covid 19 has become a global challenge, “Ramoutar said.

He urged devotees “to follow the guidelines as enunciated by the World Health Organization (WHO) and our own Ministry of Health as the Government of Trinidad and Tobago has even become more conversant with the national citizenry.” We must pity the Hon. Minister of Health, Terrance Deyaslingh and the Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Roshan Parasram and others, for pressing home the guidelines enunciated as quintessential relevance in our fight against Covid 19. “It is, therefore, incumbent on all of us to forget Carnival fetes, large gatherings and move with strength, vigour and vitality to get rid of Covid 19, once and for all. It is a fight that needs our united strength worldwide to conquer this dreaded virus,” Ramoutar added.
