The beautiful photos of the Ram Ayodhya Mandir inauguration sends chills up my spine. We ( my wife and I) were supposed to be there but I developed pneumonia and could not travel.
However, we were at the Mandir on April 23, 2023 to offer Jal (blessed water) from Trinidad in the building foundation and it was a humbling experience when you consider the temple’s age and history. There was water from several Caribbean countries. In August 2020 representatives from around the world were invited to send Jal from their countries to offer in the Mandir foundation and on April 23, 2024 representatives from all 156 countries that
sent Jal were invited to the Jalabhishek.I had the great honour to offer Jal from the Aripo Mountain lake in the Northern Range, Trinidad.
This is a very important time in the history of our civilization and our religion. The Shri Ram Ayodhya Mandir is providing us a watershed opportunity to help revisit our religion and the teaching of Shri Ram. We have been advocating the establishment of Shri Ram Centres and Shri Ram Institutions around the world in collaboration with other Institutions of Higher Learning so as to universalize the teaching of Shri Ram. Bharat is listening, and we look forward to that collaboration. Academics can play an integral part by writing and in advocacy.
