Empty Rhetoric Aka Ole Talk

So Kamla likes to pontificate that the voice of the people is the voice of god as if she’s on the pulpit and yet when the Princes Town people offered up more than a dozen of its chosen sons and daughters for screening and she boasted that up till dawn she was up interviewing them and selected one Barry Padarath because he was her bag man come from some distant place, not only did she violate her pontification but by using God’s name to exalt and anoint her statement, she committed blasphemy sufficient for her to be excommunicated from the holy assembly of the Almighty.

When, therefore, she extends a welcoming hand to all and sundry, that invitation is taken with more than a pinch of salt, with a pot spoon, more likely, because the country has come to know Kamla and know that like Rowley she sees talk as cheap and promises as expendable. When persons go for screening, they are often accompanied by an entourage and when their favourite one is shabbily snubbed and some crapaud gets the nod, not only are they disappointed but they become outraged; when you multiply the number of persons in a constituency who fall into that category of the disaffected, you’ll see why Kamla is not the Queen in the political beehive she or her sycophants thinks she is.

Princes Town having produced the first Indian PM in Panday and was the birth place of other icons such as Adrian Cola Rienzi, Chief Justice Sir Isaac Hyatali and Ombudsman Justice Evans Reece is treated by Kamla as if it is an intellectual black hole in the firmament, so she had to go excavate a nonentity from some cave and make him the MP there (twice). Who is she fooling when she tries to sound like she’s having an all-inclusive UNC party. HA!

I know of one house alone with three PhD scholars in the constituency and when one went for screening, he was dismissed as nothing and nobody because Kamla ignored the voice of the people from among whom he came. When her sycophants make the cheap, nihilistic argument that the UNC people should do like the PNM supporters and vote for whomever Kamla chooses, they are subscribing to a dictator/slave scenario. In a politically enlightened environment, they should advise their leader to be more receptive to the voice of the people and not hear just her own as people want quality for their investment (vote).
