Rowley’s Caveman Tabanca

Quick question: Why is the world totally obsessed with creating and developing weapons of mass destruction, spending billions, trillions, in so doing, squandering precious resources that could easily feed, shelter and clothe all the billions of the world’s population if redirected to the cause of humanity?

Quick Answer: Tabanca! Deep down in mankind’s subconscious there is the yearning for the “good” old days, even though the good old days is a myth. Just that it took Moses 40 years to complete a 300-mile journey by foot which by car today would be achieved in a matter of hours, proves that life has gone on fast forward since then; that we could communicate with someone in Australia in a flash is evidence that we live in a global village that is not separated anymore.

But despite all the spectacular inventions we have that have made our lives a template of Milton’s paradise, we continue to chant the mantra, the good old days. So the weapons of mass destruction are subconsciously, unconsciously, intended, if, when, used, to send us back to the stone age. Our primordial DNA has stamped in it life of us in the caves, and because we are masochistic by nature, how we long for that hard life? So having tasted this juicy fruit life, we are preparing ourselves to go back to that other one in a warped romanticized notion that the old days were indeed, the good old days.

In mashing up this country, the roads, all industries, racial unity, T&T unity, Rowley has shown that not only the scientists who are the inventors of the post-modern weapons are in self-destructive mode, but him, a virtual non-entity in the grander scheme of apocalyptic thought, thinks similarly, but with nihilistic caveman logic.

Refinery is a taboo word for the PNM: it means taking things from their raw original state and improving on it. In PNM logic that is something forbidden in their Armageddon gospel so they shut down the Caroni sugar refinery and Petrotrin’s gas and oil refinery. You get the point? Having a goat farm is thus progress for him. He is probably a subscriber to the adage, “no tree, it has been said, can grow to heaven unless its roots reaches down to hell’ – where we seem headed under him and his stooges.
