OSHA said they did not block the rescue. Paria blames the Coast Guard. Coast Guard insists not one of their men entered the water. So who gave the order to leave those men to die?
Who?
And more importantly, why?
This is what is keeping me up at night.
I was there. WE were there. For ALL of it. Trying to help these hurting people get their loved ones back.
That is what is clearly documented in all those videos. I needed the world to see the madness of what was taking place.
With each new obstacle we tried to find a way around it, but the one thought that kept coming to my mind as the hours ticked by was that this entire response from Paria and the government was insane. All of the excuses and obstacles made no sense.
WHY was that decision made?
WHO had the authority? WHO engineered that immediate cover up? That press conference of obvious lies. Who choreographed that? Who wrote the script and briefed the actors?
Even the way the bodies were ‘recovered’ and then surreptitiously removed from site and kept away from the families for twelve hours made no sense.
WHAT is going on in that pipeline that was worth leaving four men to die to hide?
Something is amiss in Paria and that pipeline, and a six month Commission of Enquiry will not answer these questions, but these are the questions we the citizens have to demand be answered.
