Our assignment in this biological world is to fulfill the social, economic, political and spiritual needs of the populace.
Representatives of the people-local or national-have no option but to empower ourselves by whatever means to ensure that the needs of the electorate are met, and by this initiative and that the governed are happy, peaceful and enjoying life, and when is done, we will be improving the human condition.
Empowerment is social transformation and it is therefore, a revolution–an inner revolution which when applied forcefully–within and without can ignite a new thinking, a new behavior or discipline from which will emerge a paradigm change.
Empowerment has it genesis in the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad Gita, which spurs us to work assiduously and ceaselessly and to offer selfless service to the weak.
Community empowerment must focus on the following preambles: participation, partnership, transparency, freedom and information-sharing, equality of the environment–social, political, economic and human capacity.
These variables can be assessed or can gain momentum aimed at involving communities in taking decisions which affect their daily lives; developing a model for communal governance and acceptance
in taking decisions and developing a forum, all of which can enhance communal, regional and national development and nation-building strategies.
Politician or no politician can grow and become and become a planner, a community worker, a bureaucrat. a thinker, a protagonist for the future of his community.
We have to work with an forge alliances and partnerships with religious, sporting, cultural, business, women and service organizations, trade unions, corporate entities, foreign missions and national and international philanthropic institutions.
Community empowerment must be the genesis towards the enactment of a true First World people, and must become the catalyst for a new socio-economic, political and cultural recalibration.
Community empowerment must point towards another way for a new leadership, and as well endow leaders in the different spheres of politics, economic, industry, science, art and culture with the wherewithal to execute programs and policies. It just needs revalidation in the Third Millennium, and we must measure and respond to this decree.
Community empowerment must be new saving grace for the downtrodden, the poor, the sick, the helpless and the innocent, Community empowerment must ensure that there is a complete overhaul of the process of our two system of governance.
This must be done for the restoration of both the spirit and manifestation of politics and people in action among themselves, and this is how a nation develops and builds itself.
Our view is that community empowerment must net be viewed as anti-government or communal uprising, but it must be respected and earn the eyes, ears and wisdom of those in charge. This is how a nation must develop and build itself. Leaders come and go, and leaders must be the cause of the nation continues, but the cause of the nation continues into infinity.
The withering away of the fabric of our society through crime, corruption and social, ethical and spiritual decadence need serious focus.
Through community empowerment we can promote inter-racial solidarity, inter-religious acceptance, multi-culturalism, economic and social development, peace, concord and harmony.
