What madness today’s headlines? These people are playing games. The Attorney General does not get to decide if he speaks on the issue. He may well be a material witness or interested party if not worse. This should be a police investigation. Where is the administration of law enforcement and justice in this country? Massive crimes have been committed and we have the law association involving itself to ask pretty please?
Why is no one asking how broad was this indemnity? Had they all strayed from the original intent and is Nelson himself also guilty of fresh crimes for which he could be charged?
Why has Faris not been charged for perverting the course of public justice and misbehavior in public office to start? Why hasn’t his coconspirators? Police need to interview from the Prime Minister down. If this does not happen the country would have fallen apart, the justice system would collapse and the rule of law would be no more.
We the people must demand that justice be done and be seen to be done. If those in office are not prepared to live up to the oaths of office and the theatre of masquerading as a real country then end the charade publicly.
Tell the people it was never the intention of the system to police above a certain sector of society and see how they respond to that.
Our country is tottering in the brink of disaster and we are playing PR games with known criminals posing for media pictures.
To paraphrase Dietrich Bonhoeffer to every existing senior public office holder, silence in the face of wrongdoing is itself wrongdoing.
We the people need to examine if what was built above us was ever a real system of governance, and if it isn’t, we are going to have to decide if living in a paper dictatorship is good enough.
We cannot continue sending police into impoverished communities to lock up petty criminals and let this massive conspiracy go unpunished.
Every day that goes by is another day to facilitate the cover up.
This is one case where the DPP is going to have to break his silence and explain to the nation why such simple matters have not resulted in action being taken by his office.
