Pitri Paksh, the annual two-week period of prayers in tribute to the ancestors and deceased kin, was observed at the Indo-Caribbean Shri Tulsi Mandir in Little Guyana, Richmond Hill, Queens, New York. Pitri Paksh commenced on Friday, September 29, and will conclude on the new moon in October.
Prayers and offerings were made to the lord to have mercy on the souls of the deceased.
