Dear Editor,
Once upon a time when things were bad, when you were caught between a rock and a hard place or between the devil and the deep blue sea, and it was water more than flour, you got out of that dilemma by the hook and the crook, but you did what you had to do, and got out.
In another fairy tale time that starts with once upon a time, leaders from Third World countries did not dare leave their countries because the moment they did – sometimes before they board their flight – some body slipped into their throne and an internal coup was effected and the ex-leader who minutes ago was ousted was forced to continue his flight with the threat by his former colleague that he was going to be charged for all kinds of crimes he committed while in office if he ever touch foot there again.
So Rowley out the country is supposed to be taking a chance with his PM position but this is Trinidad not some African or South American countries where people don’t put up with what Trinis accept as their due.
This was once the wealthiest country in the region and today we are on a slippery slope heading down the abyss of no return because sycophants with little or no IQ from both sides of the political divide like it so and are prepared to return to power Tweedledumb and Tweedledumb-ass.
Some WASA small fry functionary commanded us in my area of Hillside in Princes Town to use our water pumps as pipe water is apparently for other areas and although WASA customer care dept. assures me it will look into it, and although the Minister goes on national and assures that issues like this he will take care of, this tin god, this sawdust Caesar, continues to pursue his own discriminatory action that leaves us high and dry in the wettest of season unmindful of what the Minister says.
So it’s no water; no flour, all because IQ challenged sycophants virtually run (down) this country.
