The results of the NYC elections are in and Felecia Singh, an Indo caribbean second generationer is a loser. From what I gathered, she ran on a platform that includes “defunding the police” education equity, and environmental justice.

These are not the issues facing the Indo caribbean community…..these are issues that Afro New Yorkers are facing. So why push issues that are mostly irrelevant to the Indo caribbean community ??. Well, that is the problem the Indian community across the diaspora faces, educated Indians don’t want to take up “Indian causes”, they’re too ashamed and embarrassed to stand up and fight for Indian causes. Indian issues are small fishes, they want a bigger stage.

Indians are conservative people, where hard work, law-abiding, education and family values are paramount, because of these traits, they’ve become the most successful people in America. Because of this, they have become victims of racial motivated crimes perpetrated by Black and Hispanic youngsters, yet Richard David and Felecia Singh refused to call out these attacks as racists. When Rickford Burke promised to come to Richmond hill and attack Indos at their businesses, they were missing in action too. I have documented over ninety attacks on Indians over the past few years. In a few cases the perps admitted that they target Indians because they have money and don’t fight back. Black youngsters would hang around Indo bars targeting drunk Indian men as they walk home. All the bar owners in the area would attest to this.

Ms. Singh wants to defund the police and wants “education equity” . Some Black leaders want to do away with the merit based entrance to the best High schools….dominated by Chinese and Indians. They claimed the tests are “racist”. Clearly, the Indian community benefited from the educational opportunities the country afforded, as they’re the best students in American schools.

Last summer NYC witnessed numerous attacks on Asians..committed by mostly Blacks, a few Indians were also attacked. I am not aware of Felecia Singh or Richard David demonstrating against these racially motivated attacks, Richard David spare no time in demonstrating against “Police Brutality against Blacks and even when to D.C to joined the protest, he called it “State sponsored terrorism”.

Amazingly, they were silent during the attacks on Indians after the elections in Guyana, a vigil was held on Liberty Avenue, instead of calling for Justice they started singing Hymns and Bhajans. Richard David and Felecia Singh are following in the footsteps of Cheddi Jagan…who after returning with an American education began chasing the topics of the day…..third world liberation and Marxism. The Issues faced by ordinary Guyanese Indians have no place in this heart. While giving “critical support” to Burnham and his war against Indians Jagan took up the causes of Rhodesia and South Africa. (notice how silent Jagan was when Mugabe turned on Indians and Whites in Zimbabwe ?) Jagan, like Felecia Singh and Richard David get their satisfaction from Black approval…..but they never get their votes.

Like I said many times….if you want to give any Indian politician diarrhea…ask them to say “they’re proud to be Indian publicly, in front of a mixed crowd”.
