BLINDED BY VAIN EGOCENTRIC DESIRES,
WE SURRENDER TO THE CRAVINGS OF OUR IMMORAL INSTINCTS.
INVITING SELF-DESTRUCTIVE HABITS TO DOMINATE OUR MIND AND CONDUCT,
WE STIFLE OUR BETTER JUDGEMENTS, ESCAPING REALITY.
WITH UNRESTRAINED SELF-INDULGENCE, WE SEEK TO SATISFY,
THE INSATIABLE CRAVINGS THAT WILL NOT BE DENIED.
SPIRALLING OUT OF CONTROL, WE LOSE REASON AND DECENCY.
LIKE A CHAMELEON, SEEKING TO HIDE THE TRUTH,
WE REVEAL THE HYPOCRISY OF OUR DEBAUCHED TENDENCIES.d
CLOAKED UNDER SUPERFICIAL DISGUISE AND PRETENCE,
WE EXPOSE OUR FOOLISH CHARADE, NOTWITHSTANDING.
LIFE DOES NOT WAIT, BUT MARCHES ON,
AS WE ABANDON OUR CALLINGS AND MANY BLESSINGS.
DENYING OURSELVES THE SIMPLE JOYS OF SERVING A HIGHER GOOD.
OPPORTUNITIES TO BEHOLD, FILLED WITH HOPE,
AND THE BOUNTY OF MOTHER NATURE’S GLORIOUS WONDERS.
LIVING IN A FOOLS PARADISE, LIKE A RABID CREATURE INSTEAD.
FEEDING OUR SELF-DESTRUCTIVE INCLINATIONS,
WE INVITE MISERY AND ILL-FATED CONSEQUENCES.
LEAVING US TO WADDLE IN THE WRETCHEDNESS OF OUR MAKING,
WE SQUANDER CHARACTER, GOODWILL AND TRUST.
INFLICTING PAIN, NOT ONLY TO OURSELF, BUT TO ALL WHO TRULY CARES.
AND, IN THE END, WE ONLY MAKE OF OURSELVES,
THE LAUGHING STOCK FOR THE JUDGEMENTAL IMPOSTERS.
A WASTED LEGACY, CAST IN THE DUSTBIN OF TIME,
UNLESS, WE FIND THE COURAGE AND DISCIPLINE TO REDEEM OURSELVES…
FROM THE VICCISSITUDES OF LIFE’S NEVER-ENDING TEMPTATIONS.
