Too many of us have chosen the easy way out, the path of least resistance -“If you cannot beat them, join them.”

When the PNM came into existence, again, a few collaborators were at hand to embrace its policies and programs for a few dollars more. Ignoring the value of collective social responsibility, they transgress the Laxman rekha to procure resources for their narrow existence. Unsuspecting, these collaborators parrot new ideologies like BLM, Wokeism and other isms that strive to divide humanity. They gladly join international social clubs, churches and movements where an abundance of dollars are floating around to fill their stomachs and pockets.
These opportunists frown upon reading the Bhagavad Gita to learn more about the rich traditions of their ancestors. Diversity, Equity and Inclusiveness and the freedom to change one’s gender and sexual orientation become the new dharma, all driven with easy monetary rewards.
For a few dollars more- a contract, a promotion or a scholarship, these collaborators willingly close their eyes to the many misdeeds around them. Today as the world surges ahead with AI and other developments, in T&T we find ourselves grappling with a culture of crime.
In India financial handouts from USAID and individuals such George Soros have turned many Indian journalists and political parties enemies of the Indian State and its people. Using the guise of fighting for the poor and and freedom of the press these collaborators were, in fact, working to destabilize the nation.
