In two mandirs in central Trinidad the Ganesh Utsav was curtailed to give way to politicians. At the Monroe Road Mandir Ministers Rohan Sinanan, Stuart Young and Marvin Gonzales were welcomed and garlended and given the opportunity to address the congregation. At the residence of Ganesh Raghunanan in Felicity the same was done to welcome the Mayor of Chaguanas, Avinash Singh and Senator Rishi Sookhai.
Never mind parts of the country with high concentrations of Hindus are without water for three weeks at once such as Gasparillo and Debe/Penal. No urgency to demand the opening of the Reform Hindu School or the Rousillac Hindu School housed in a community centre with 200 children sharing four toilets. No alarm over home invasions, rapes, kidnappings and murders.
Hindu leaders must be called upon to explain their actions. Are they working for the welfare of their community or for their inflated egos? Are politicians truly seeking the welfare of Hindus?
U need to be the judge!
