This editorial is total nonsense. India was always a land steeped in spirituality where devotion and ritualistic pujas strengthened the culture and holistic values of the people who placed their trust in the Monarchy to rule the Kingdoms based on the sage guidance and established laws of the spiritual leaders (Rishis)
In fact, our ancient Gothra lineage evolved from Saptarishis (Bhrigu, Atri, Angiris, Vashishta, Pulastya, Pulaha and Kratu) who established our Dharmic way of life and the laws for which the Kings were the protectors of the creeds that spanned the entire Bharatvarsha.
Let us also consider who built all the grand temples in the South of India that, thankfully, barely survived being destroyed by the marauding invaders who deemed us to be sinful infidels and heathens bound for hellfire. Also, who destroyed all the great universities and places of learning that held the greatest knowledge known to humanity? Scientific knowledge in every field of human endeavour and spirituality were symbiotically intertwined.
The Hindu Kings sent spiritual ambassadors not to conquer but to enrich other South Asian countries with the sage humanistic message of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. (Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, Burma, Japan, China etc) All of these countries saw and embraced the holistic values of our Dharmic way of life and prospered in peace until the floodgates of hell opened for the destructive, inhumane beasts who came with the singular goal of looting, plundering and desecrating all that we held to be sacred. Our noble heroes defended their land and sacred shrines with their lives so that we will be proud of their sacrifices to preserve what still remains with the goal of ensuring that we do not become victims again. Today, we have these apologists to contend with. A crying shame.
Even more ridiculous is this inference that “Even an authoritarian regime like China knows the value of secularism”. An authoritarian communist regime that has slaughtered an estimated 40 to 80 million Chinese to establish communism in China. China has millions of Yhugers locked up and has limited their right to worship by restructuring their grand Mosques into approved communist-style factories.
The Catholic Church used colonialism to eviscerate and forcefully converted 50 % of the world until Islam came along and inflicted the worst horrors in its march to conquer the world. The Islamic invaders destroyed most of the temples in North India and maliciously erected grand mosques on the most Sacred Hindu temple sites like Lord Ram Temple in Ayodha, Lord Krishna temple in Mathura, and the Shiva temple in Kasi among the 40,000 temples that were destroyed.
Before Modi invigorated and awakened the consciousness of Hindus to reclaim their Dharmic culture and traditions, Hinduism – as we know it – was existentially threatened. Now, America’s Christian conservatives are on the back foot to preserve their religion from the Islamic Jihadist invasions, which have already penetrated most of the once mighty Christian dominions in Europe and elsewhere.
It is fools like this, so-called secularist, who refuse to take their blinders off and see the realities of the world in all of the ugliness that has now made the world into a war-infested hellhole. His conditioned myopia has clouded his eyes and blocked his ears from hearing the drumbeat that threatens his very existence, reflecting his refusal to acknowledge the potential doom. Perhaps, until the sword is upon his neck, he will not accept reason and logic to see the truth. He is a victim of his own self-righteous abnegation.
He forgets that Theocratic forces ravaged our motherland for over 1400 years. Now, he subscribes to his prescriptive belief that with over 75% Hindus, we must still bow our heads in submissiveness to allow proselytization – under the banner of secularism – to disembowel what remains of our dharmic creed. He disavowed our rituals because, according to his interpretation of the Gita, as stated: “The Gita warns us against rituals and worship done in ignorance or for egoic ends—such as, for example, the large-scale religious passions orchestrated by a well-oiled political machinery.”
His assertion here is just foolish conjecture.
The reality is that had it not been for this blessed Modi’s political machinery, India and Hindusin would have been disembowelled by the insatiable proselytizing appetite of foreign theocracies that are committed to the eradication of our ancient dharmic creed.
No need to elucidate this anymore. It is our democratic right to believe what we choose to believe…ignorance and all. Well! let me further say that he is no friend of mine.
