When Governments create a society where everyday citizens have to come up every so often for air before being drowned, even the worst of them exercise a bit of restraint, tolerance, humanity, in dealing with them – i.e. they let you get that air, the oxygen you need to breathe for survival before they find a way to tax you for inhaling. Now that I say this, this might give Rohan the idea that he could give out tickets for that too which already exists if you don’t wear a mask to reduce our intake of the air we breathe.
In a totalitarian state like Cuba, the oppressors still allow citizens to own and keep the cars they have or had before the US embargo of 60 years ago which denied them the availability of vehicles manufactured thereafter. So oppressive Castro, just let his people keep their vehicles as best as they could with whatever substitute parts they could contrive thereby converting jalopies to vintage. He understood that vehicle maintenance is not easy for the poor man and that via his policies sourcing car parts was an exercise in terror. He did not further terrorise vehicle owners by looking for all kinds of nitty gritty defects in their vehicle thus letting people get to where they were headed in peace not having to bother about getting ticketed for the flaking paint on their cars. In Guyana, I saw car owners use padlocks to secure their car when the car locks no longer worked and even demonic Burnham allowed it. How much ticket money Rohan would have raised from that, he probably drools?
Because all Ministers make the highfalutin pontification that they going or went to cabinet – which, please understand, is not the assembly, the holy grail of genius thinking but a place which comprise Rohan and others of his ilk – persons with single digit IQs – so there is nobody there to cast out any foolish suggestions come to them. See where we are? We must try not be led down the abyss by those who do not know their elbows from any lower body part.
One question for Rohan, which cheaper, older model car flies up the highway at 150mph? Isn’t it the newer high end ones while the old ones barely make 50mph and so are less likely to fly off the road. Think, nah, man? How many poor persons have access to the cookie jar at the treasury to go buy a Mustang, eh?
