By Phillip Alexander

Today’s press conference was an overreach by the government designed to throw the caseload and carnage wrought by their incompetence on others, and this post is to announce we won’t be accepting that.

Of course health care is overwhelmed. This is the exact same health care that was overwhelmed BEFORE there was a pandemic.

All this talk about a parallel health care system was designed to fool the public, it was Phillip Edward Alexander who exposed the sham of it, that two years into a pandemic the country had the SAME amount of health care workers and professionals, the same 51 ICU beds, the same ambulance service that was less than adequate without the additional burden of Covid 19, the same failing institutions and degenerated hospitals.

To say we have three omicron variants brought in by air travel is to sweep under the rug that the failing of government policy and enforcement of its own travel pass system is the sole cause of this.

To attempt to punish the nation because we are saddled with an incompetent government is hardly the remedy to a PNM problem, the situation requires a political one in the immediate firing of ‘Cry Me a River’ Deyalsingh, ‘excuse and recuse’ Young and al Rawi, the bungling, mumbling joke of a minister of national security, and the ringleader of this charade himself, the one who thinks the solution to problems that he and his circus caused is to blame the victims.

We are not accepting any of that any longer.

We have been tolerant, but even Biblical Job would have run out of patience by now.

As of today we are not accepting gimmicks, excuses and blame.

This is a national call to order.

The people of Trinidad deserve better as much as the people of Tobago do.

ALL of the Prime Minister’s dictates will accomplish nothing but lead to more deaths. The caseload is not based on a lack of vaccines. It is based on mishandling of the virus as anyone can see, especially if one contrasts Trinidad’s new cases and Trinidad’s daily new deaths with our immediate neighbours and those in a thousand mile radius of the epicenter of this PNM calamity.

Keith Rowley we reject your solutions. We believe you are clueless and incompetent and your entire Cabinet reflective of that sad condition.

We through our activist outreach the Citizens Union will be standing in solidarity with the Public Service and calling on them all to down tools in response to your mimic stunt announcement. We will be providing resources and coordinating food and other relief supplies if it comes to that. Those in essential services will be advised by our legal counsel as to what action can be taken short of mass resignations.

The country can no longer tolerate bouff and bachanal as the twin rails of government communication.

We deserve and demand better.

In the shadows of all of this today the Massy Group announced eleven BILLION in group earnings despite the pandemic, or some say because of the good fortune of it.

While banks repossess cars and homes of those poorly done by through government lockdowns and failed policies, the same banks are announcing billions in profits.

The sky clearly is not falling for those high up in society, and to those on the bottom mislead into believing it is suffering the consequences of all this mal-administration, we call on the entire nation to prepare to stand together as one people under one flag, to boycott, sacrifice and stand down.

The problems that plague this country are all political. Thankfully so are the solutions.

The country deserves better than the twenty three months of Keith Rowley’s mishandling of the pandemic on top of Colm Imberrt’s destruction of our national economy in six years while Cabinet Ministers and friends and financiers gorge and feast on our treasury.

If you read this, share it. Everywhere. Stand by to stand up by standing down.

Our nation demands a rescue. We the people must make ready to respond.
