We all know that the PNM hates Indians except the few that supports it such as Larry Lalla and Rohan Sinanan.
The failure of the PNM to complete and open the Southern Campus and the Parvathi Girls College are two glaring examples of this contempt. And if I may add the Couva Children’s Hospital in Couva.
Despite these blatant acts of discrimination those who support the PNM are silent. This clearly shows that those associated with the PNM are there for personal gains and not to seek the welfare of the country.
Why the late announcement on compensation for the divers? Is the promise of $1m only an election promise? This neglect of the families of the divers is typical of the PNM during its long history. It just does not care! Very much like massa who exploited the labor of the slaves and not caring for their welfare.
Today the selected leader of the PNM, Stuart Young, is saying that the promises by Kamla Persad Bissessar to increase wages of workers by 10% across the board and pay baby grants to poor mothers, etcetera, are going to bankrupt the economy and invite the IMF into the country.
Nevertheless, the PNN had the money to to give to politicians a 47% increase in salary. With this pay hike the outgoing Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, now qualifies for a monthly pension of $80,000. Also, Stuart Young reclused himself sixty times from Cabinet so that approvals of contracts can be authorized to his family businesses. To date the PNM has failed to account for more than $2.3B according to the Auditor General’s Report. Despite all these economic malpractices the IMF did not not come into the country; but to pay 10% to workers is risking bankrupting the country!
The PNM exists not to empower its political base but to fulfill the ambition and greed of the 1%. PNM’s governance is reminiscent of the days of slavery when a hog was slaughtered and the choicest parts were kept for massa while the feet, tail, head and entrails were thrown to the slaves, thus the love for pudding and sauce among poor Blacks and Larry Lalla.
Voting for the PNM is an insult to African identity under the leadership of Stuart Young, a hybrid Chinese. Dr Rudranath Capildeo had predicted the implosion of the PNM and the appointment of Stuart Young is a fulfillment of this revelation.
Black identity should be more that empty rhetoric led by Fitzgerald Hinds dressed in a dashiki.
It is disgraceful that a PNM government has to scrape the bottom of society to find a Stuart Young who has raided the treasury, to lead them. PNM’s supporters certainly does not know the difference between those who love them and those who are exploiting them!
Not surprisingly, the emergence of Stuart Young as leader of the PNM is a reflection of the bankruptcy within the PNM. Are Blacks in charge of the PNM? If they were their choice of leader would have been Dr Amery Brown or Penny Beckles…what a shame!
