NIDCOs Engineers are now saying that the “Mosquito Creek area was at the highest risk of failure during construction due to the prevailing geotechnical conditions of the soil” and that “continuous construction loads and the traversing of heavy construction equipment, coupled with unfinished construction works may have cause the instability.”

And if according to NIDCO, its Consulting Engineer AECOM will develop the relevant designs to undertake the repairs to the failed area and these repairs will prevent any further occurrence on future disruption to traffic.”

This is absolutely unbelievable and unacceptable.

Weren’t these engineers aware of these “prevailing geotechnical conditions of the soil” prior to construction?

Why is it that NIDCO now has to develop the relevant designs to undertake repairs to the failed area?

Why wasn’t this design done in the first place?

Who signed off on this job as being completed?

And who is now financially responsible for the repairs, AECOM or NIDCO?
